Ecological footprint

IWT is not exactly considered to be a pioneer in environmental protection and energy system transformation. Unjustly so!

There is no comparable transport mode with such a small ecological footprint as shipping.

For the most part, existing transport routes, such as rivers or seas, are used.

Even canal systems are designed in such a way that ecosystems can be created or maintained.

Relief for the roads

An inland vessel with a capacity of up to 4,000 tons replaces 160 trucks.

No fine dust from tyre abrasion, no wear of road surfaces, no pollution from traffic jams, no traffic pollution in city centres.

Ship transports - relief for our environment!
